Super! I did what others suggested and substituted a cup of wheat flour in. We prefer wheat bread around here :) Anyway, I have made these four times in the last two weeks for our home and for dinner with friends, and everyone raves about them. Yum!

These rolls were fantastic. I made burgers on the grill and made these rolls and used as buns. Added homemade fries and baked beans, what a delicious meal. Will make again and again. Next time I will try to shape them for hot dog or brat buns. I'll let you know how it worked.

Wonderful rolls! I had tried these once before and they tasted good, but I think I let them rise too long as they were a little overly "airy". I made them again last night and they were AWESOME! I didn't let them rise nearly as long and made them into 16 dinner rolls. I forgot to put the butter on them, but they were amazing, regardless. Thanks so much for sharing!

Ooops. I let these rise too long. I didn't read the recipe and didn't add the 1/4 cup butter. I ended up smearing it on top with an egg which caused the buns to deflate a bit. I made the dough into 16 buns I baked in a large glass lasagna dish. Anyway, they turned out great.

Yummy! Very soft and light. I never follow the manufactures settings, and it seems to work for me. Added sugar, water, milk, and yeast. Allowed to proof for 10 minutes. Then melted butter, egg, flour and salt. Rolled into balls and place with sides touching on cookie sheet. Updated - Yesterday made this into a loaf. Best sandwich bread ever! My husband said to throw the old recipe out. Baked at 350 for 30 minutes for that.

I can see why these rolls are so popular. The dough is so soft and silky. This carries over to the final product; very light and airy. I loved working with this recipe and will also use it to make sweet rolls. Thank you for sharing this recipe; it's a keeper!

These are BY FAR the best dinner rolls I have ever made. I don't have a breadmaker, so I made them according to the suggestions of other reviewers... and I even had to rush the proofing and rising time (proof time 10 mins, first rise 45 mins and second only 1/2 hour) and they STILL turned out great! My husband is already bugging me to make them again (and I just made them yesterday).

Ok,this is a fab recipe! I made "cloverleaf" rolls and the are super delicious! light, fluffy and just a hint of sweetness. I will use this for sweet rolls also. Great dough to handle and great texture for rolls. TRY this even if you have no experience, it's such a good recipe, you can't mess up unless you don't use fresh ingredients (as with any baking) ENJOY!

This recipe is very versatile and extemely forgiving! I have made it several times now, adding different things such as herbs and/or cheese, rolled it into a variety of shapes and even had my bread machine lose a paddle and forget the cycle while making it, so it had to be removed and finished being kneaded by hand. It tastes just as good with whole wheat as it does with white flour. My mother, who trained as a chef, and always finds something wrong with anything I make, had nothing to say beyond: "Mmmmmm." And then she ate three. Thank you so much for such a great recipe! I don't buy rolls anymore, since it only takes a trice to make these :)

AWESOME - I made cinnamon rolls out of these and this is - by far - the best dough I have ever made. I don't have a bread machine, but it still worked amazing. I even forgot to let it rise the second time, and they turned out incredible. PERFECT DOUGH!!!

Foolproof! I substituted 1 cup wheat flour and forgot to read the rest of the directions, but they turned out great regardless! I ate them plain, with no butter or anything because they were just so good. I'm making them again today. There's just two of us at my house, so I froze half the batch and they were in great shape when I pulled them out.

These are just like the ones my grandmother used to make. They are delicious!!!! They're good plain, with butter, and the best hamburger buns I have aver tasted!! I had never made rolls and it took me about 4 tries before my rolls came out right. I make them with honey instead of sugar. They taste much better that way, and so good for you!!
