Love this recipe! I doubled the batch, but added in an extra egg white. I also used half brown sugar, half white sugar and a splash of vanilla. Tastes better than those nut vendors that are all over the malls!

Very good! I used half brown and half white sugar (based on the ingredients I had on hand) and one tablespoon of vanilla in place of one tablespoon of water. VERY easy and my husband and daughter loved them. Thanks!

WOW .... These are fabulous! I did make them with vanilla instead of water and 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. These are a great way to use up extra pecans from holiday baking. I have 1 warning ... do not make these if you are not prepared to eat every single one, they are sooooooo addictive! Thank you for the great recipe.

Great recipe for candied pecans. I used 12oz instead of 16oz of pecans so the coating was thicker. Also used 1/2c white and 1/2c brown sugar, a tsp of vanilla, and a dash of nutmeg. Cooked for 45 minutes and was perfect!

So easy ....I used half brown sugar and half white...then I replaced 1 tablespoon of the water with 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract. I put the pecans in a gallon ziploc mixed the other ingredients in a bowl and poured on the pecans and mixed well...lined a baking sheet with foil sprayed with pam and baked at 300 stirred every 5 mins for 20 mins. They came out perfect and if I can keep my husband out of them ( he already had 2 handfuls) they will be great as snacks before our Thanksgiving dinner.

Double the batch!! Try replacing half the white sugar with brown sugar. Gave this a shot with almonds, as well, and turned out equally as good.

These are DELICIOUS! I have made them following the recipe exactly and made them with the change others recommended, which is using half white sugar and half brown sugar. I think the pecans turn out better with the sugar mixture: half white, half brown. I also use vanilla extract in place of the water. For easy clean up, I place aluminum foil on the cookie sheet, spray it with PAM and after baking throw it away. Easy and delicious.....my kind of recipe!

Followed the recipe exactly and they are wonderful! I lined my cookie sheet with aluminum foil and sprayed it with cooking oil because I didn't want the mess and it worked beautifully. I will make these again and again. Thank you for this delicious treat!

These are so great. I've been making them for years and giving them out as Christmas presents. I use a tablespoon of cinnamon, but otherwise follow the recipe as posted.

My family loved this recipe & and I have made it for gifts!!! I have tried other varieties; however we like the original. Also, I found it easier to coat the pecans with the sugar mixture by putting it in a Tupperware container – put the lid on a shake –after a minute or two all the pecans are perfectly coated. Super simple.
