This was very bland. I even added extra everything. Just tasted like potatoes with nothing on them. Good base but seems to be missing something...somethings.

Absolutely delicious! Didn't change a thing. No need to add garlic unless you want Garlic Red Mashed Potatoes.

These were pretty good. Maybe a little bland, so I sauteed some garlic and butter together, pulled the garlic pieces out and poured the butter over the potatoes.

I've made these twice now and they are absolutely delicious. I've made it with a little garlic mashed in and without and they are great either way. So easy too.

That's it! I found my recipe! Yessss!! I used a 3lb bag of baby reds, left them skin-on. Added 3 heads (yes, heads) of roasted garlic, 1/2c cream, and about 4 or 5 Tbsp of butter. I then added 1/4c parm cheese, a few shakes of kosher salt, and a find grinds of fresh pepper. Top it off with about a tsp of oregano and perfection!

Really delicious! I'm giving it 4 stars because I ended up using 3 lbs of potatoes and that was perfect. I think 2 pounds, as the recipe states, would have come out too wet.

Followed the recipe exactly (except I added garlic salt instead of regular salt) and they were everything I hoped they would be!

Great recipe. I have never been able to make good mashed potatoes so I was really pleased with the results of this dish. I did not follow the recipe exactly because I thought it was too rich for my family. I used one percent milk, 1/4 c of butter, 2T light sourcream and 1t mashed garlic. The result was light, fluffy and flavorful. Perfect.

Good base recipe. I changed things up to suit my family. I steamed one pound of red potatoes and one half head of cauliflower together with a couple cloves of garlic. When they were tender, I mashed them together with 1/4 c. of butter, 1/4 c. sour cream and 2 oz. cream cheese. I also added pepper and salt to taste. Very good with the Cola Pot Roast also listed on this site. Very, very good.
