I can't have too much milk in a day SO I used 2 cups of water instead. It was still very amazing, and thick. It was a darker color but still just scrupcious.

I always use Bob Evans Sausage when I make biscuits and gravy. My Dad who is an old southern cook, always told me to add 1 or 2 chicken bullion cubes for the best flavor. Do not add any salt to this recipe because the bullion cubes have the salt. I also use more milk to stretch the gravy. You will love this!

Soo good. I took the sausage out for a different recipe, and just used the gravy part as a kind of sauce for my crescent rolls. Excellent.

I was craving some old fashioned sausage gravy and biscuits like my grandma used to make, and this was it. Nothing fancy, just plain good.

AWESOME....we have even made this with turkey sausage and turned out great. So simple, so few ingredients. Took other reviews and doubled all ingredients except meat= perfect balance!

Amazing. Simply amazing. I made this for a breakfast buffet, exactly as written, and when the biscuits ran out, people were eating it with a spoon.. It's THAT good!

Really great! It's a good idea to really let the flour brown a bit before you add the milk, but it is a no faqil way to make gravy without lumps. Super simple!

I've never been a big fan of sausage gravy, but my husband loves biscuits and gravy. We both love this recipe. Its quick, easy, and tastes great. My tip: don't crumble the sausage too small. Leave a good amount of dime size pieces (or larger if you like). It makes it look and taste better than what you get going out to eat.

I have failed miserably at making gravy more times than I care to count. This recipe was perfect. I can't believe that after all these years I am finally able to make biscuits and gravy at home instead of having to go out for it. This is the best sausage gravy I've ever had.

If you brown the flour before adding the milk the gravy will taste much better
