I never thought I would find a recipe close to my grandfathers sausage gravy. I have to say though this is better than his!! I've told him this, and well he tried it and agreed!! Thank you so much for a perfect recipe!

Oh my. So good! Received rave reviews from my family. This was very easy to make with just a few ingedients. Did not change a thing, and you MUST use all of the sausage called for.

Good recipe, can't go wrong unless you cook it on too high of heat or don't cook it long enough. You shouldn't have to add extra flour, it will thicken if cooked properly. A couple of reviewers said there was too much sausage. Huh? Isn't that the point of sausage gravy is to have sausage in it? LOL. I use the Bob Evans hot sausage for extra flavor. Might try that pancake mix like Bubba suggested. Thanks!

Same way I've always made my sausage gravy except I prefer Jimmy Dean sausage and I use pancake mix in place of the flour really adds to the flavor.
