DIRECTIONS
In a skillet, cook the beef, onion, green pepper and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain and set aside. In a saucepan, bring tomato sauce and Italian seasoning to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir 1/2 cup into the meat mixture; keep remaining sauce warm. Unroll pizza crust on a floured surface. Roll into a 12-in. square; cut into four squares. Spread cream cheese over each to within 1/2 in. of edges. Top with meat mixture. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, mushrooms and olives. Fold dough over filling, forming a triangle; press edges with a fork to seal. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with the remaining sauce.

This recipe was pretty tasty. The second time I made this recipe with ricotta cheese and found it to be more traditional. I also made a variety, some with beef, some with pepperoni, and some with soked sausage. This recipe was easy enough to prepare and my family enjoyed it very much.

I give this recipe 4 stars for ease of preparation and taste. You can vary the ingredients per calzone to suit individual tastes. I prefer to use pizza sauce for dipping, or to add more seasonings to the tomato sauce. My 4-year old declared this "great!"

This recipe was great! My fiance and I both loved it! My only compaint is that the one can of pizza dough didn't seem to be enough for four, so I made 2 big ones, but the dough was spread thin. But it still tasted wonderful!! I will definitely make it again!

I thought this recipe was OK; if I make it again, I'll definitely omit the cream cheese - it left an odd flavor and texture (I might try the suggestion from another reviewer to use ricotta). A couple suggestions/substitutions: I did not have hamburger or sausage, so I used cubed ham instead, and I topped the folded calzones with garlic butter, italian seasoning, and grated parmesan.

My husband and daughter loved them! I do have to say this though, you have to be careful about how much filling goes in bc the pizza dough I used (philsbury) was NOT made to take that much, 2 of them split open a bit but tasted great and the other 2 came out perfect, next time I'll use 2 rolls of dough rather than just the one.

Husband did not like the cream cheese:said it tasted funny with the other stuff. Daughter said they were "ok". I did not like the pizza dough in the can. Maybe I will try with forzen bread dough or homemade and try again also with no cream cheese and maybe a different filling. Sorry, we just did not think these were bad, just not worth the trouble.
