It was a nice chewy bar. Doesn't taste good warm, but even my husband liked it cold. I won't make them too often, because they are 115 calories. Liked them a lot though!

I didn't get to taste these, but my diabetic aunt (who also happens to be an AMAZING chef) said they were wonderful!

I made this recipe for a diabetic elderly friend for a Christmas treat and before giving it to him I tasted the bars and thought they were on the bland side. However, I don't eat a whole lot of sugar free stuff (aside from the cookies/drinks sold in stores) so that may be why I didn't like it. The bars were very moist and came out great as far as consistency and appearance. I chopped walnuts and spread those on half of the batch which was a nice added touch. If I did it again I would put them on the whole thing. The elderly friend I gave them to claimed they were great, but he could've just been polite!

This recipe is not sugar free! It is only "no sugar added". There is quite a bit of natural sugar in the raisins, so please take that into consideration if you want to eat more than one small piece at a time.

I make a lot of sugar-free recipes, and this one is excellent! These bars are moist, delicate, tasty, and very sweet. Don't skip the step of cooking the raisings and margarine in the hot water. This step really releases the sweetness of the raisins into the recipe, and the raisings will be SOOOO tender in the finished product. I actually am going to cut back on the splenda from 1/2 cup to 1/4 cup next time, as I don't like my food quite as sweet as this one was. Still 5 stars!

These bars definately satisfied my sugar attact and were tasty. I also substituted the marj. for applesauce and used half whole wheat flour (adds approx. 5 more grams of fiber and 2.5 mre grams of protein)and half white flour. I sprinkled a 1/4 cup walnuts on top but they came off too easy so next time I will mix them in. Next time,I am also going to try to use whole wheat flour only.

These turned out really good. I added nuts like another person suggested and I added small chunks of unsweetened bakers chocolate. I also used a different pan and spread the mixture a little thiner then the recipe called for which gave us more pieces to cut up for guests. I did not cook as long since the batter was thinner.

I love this! Very very moist! Love it best when warm! I use Splenda for my sweetener. 18 minutes in my oven & it's perfect. I subbed mashed bananas for the applesauce once, ane it was still really good, but needed to be baked about 8 more minutes. Prefer the applesauce though!

These were pretty good. i wanted to see if they would work using another 1/4 cup of applesauce instead of using the butter and they still tasted and baked up excellent! thanks!

This is great recipe. My entire family loved the Raisin Bars. I loved how easy they were to make and what little clean up there was. I added a sprinkle of chopped mixed nuts to the top of my batter before baking. Simply Yummy!

I just wanted to point out that these are sugar-free but NOT low-carb. May be suitable as an occasional snack but not recommended for the induction phase of the Atkins diet. Just one of these bars puts you on your limit of carbs for the whole day!
