These are absolutely delicious! Do you think the same recipe can be used for Walnuts?

This recipe was a hit at my neighbors Christmas party. When she told me how easy it was I was quite surprised. I made it for my family Christmas dinner and it truly was easy and delish. I will never purchase sugar coated pecans again. Jeannine

I love this recipe! It's so easy and makes the whole house smell wonderful. I prepared this recipe for the first time on Thanksgiving and it was a hit. Everyone wanted the recipe. So I decided to make them again for Christmas and give them out as gifts. I wish I had made more because they went quickly. I followed the recipe but I also decided to add extra cinnamon and vanilla. I also suggest parchment paper over a foiled cookie sheet for easier clean up. Remove the nuts quickly from the pan otherwise they will stick.

Oh my Carolyn, were these ever amazing!!!! I made these for the "Green Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette" recipe on this site, which btw was pretty darn incredible! I probably ate half of the pecans before our New Years Even party even began! I have used walnuts before, but ya know what? Never again because these were just too good for words. Thank you Carolyn!!

These are great! I also added a tsp of vanilla and subbed in 1/2 C brown sugar. I ended up with a thick sugar mixture that coated the pecans well, but also made them all stick together into a sheet that I had to break apart later. Definitely bake on parchment paper! Next time I will try the ziplock method, dividing the wet from the sugar, which I think will help out immensely.

Gave these out to neighbor as mini gifts during the holidays. Everyone loved them. I tried using half brown sugar/half white sugar, but it seemed to make them a bit sticky/gooey. Would stick with white sugar next time.

These are great!! Note to self: double the cinnamon to 1 tsp and increase salt to 1 tsp. Also use 2 tsp water and 1 tsp vanilla with the one egg white.
