I am so sad my daughter developed a nut allergy because I can't make these anymore. They smell phenomenal while baking and are especially delicious if eaten warm!

I wanted some pecans for my salad, and these are excellent. A word of caution, though: You might want to have a few people around when they're done, otherwise you might eat the whole batch by yourself! I halved the recipe. Changes were 1 t. water, 1/2 t. vanilla; only stirred 3 times and baked for 65 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet. Cleanup was easy - just soak the pan for a few minutes and the sugar comes right off. These are crunchy/crispy and VERY good!! Thanks!

This recipe was very good. Unlike the Candied Pecans you buy at the mall kiosk, these are much better once they cool down. I think the flavor could be improved by some more cinnamon, but overall it was a recipe we will use again.

These are delicious! I have made them several times now and I always get compliments on them. I have also been asked for the recipe many times. Really excellent and easy to prepare. You could pay a lot of money for these if you bought them in a store, but made yourself for a very reasonable price!

These are incredible! I added about a teaspoon of vanilla and used half brown and half white sugars. I also used about half pecans and half almonds because that's what I had in the house. I've yet to serve these to anyone (I will on Saturday), but there are a few extras that "won't fit in the container" oops! They're so good and so easy

Okay, so I almost should've even be writing a review since I tweaked this recipe so drastically.... But, since this recipe was my original inspiration, and because everyone *looooved* the results SO much, I felt compelled to write something. Instead of pecans, I made sugar coated almonds. I also had only had 1/2 cup of white sugar left in my cupboard, so I substituted the cup of white sugar with a cup of brown. Anyhow, this is what I mean by tweaked beyond recognition... but they turned out very tasty, and I still wanted to give credit to the inspiration. Someday I hope to make the sugar coated pecans properly. :)

WOW!! this is wonderful! to think I have been been paying a small fortune for these, and I made my own. They are great right out of the oven, I made a pound on friday, and I'm making 3 more pounds on Sunday to give out. This would be a nice Christmas gift too

WOW......just like everyone before me, we absolutely loved these nuts :-) I added one tsp. vanilla to the egg whites and that gave the finished pecans a nice flavor. I also used 1/3 C brown sugar +2/3 white sugar. This recipe will be a favorite of mine.
