These are absolutely wonderful! I love the nuts that you can buy at the mall but these have that homemade taste that the mall can't beat! I made the recipes as described but I did add a little vanilla to the water and a touch of freshly ground nutmeg and they were perfect. My family could not keep their hands out of them. I will be making these again and again!

Fantastic! My friends are all foodies, and this was a huge hit. I used walnuts instead of pecans, a small splash of vanilla, and added a 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg. Per peoples' suggestions, I also added a second egg white. Great results!

Probably my all time favorite recipe to make from Allrecipes.com. I have made this 4 times since December and every function I bring this receipe to it is a hit!! I always add 1 tsp of vanilla for extra flavor. This will be a hit everytime you make it! Kids and hubby love it so much they beg me to make them again!!!!

i made these quite a few years ago from a similar recipe....i didn't read the recipe correctly & beat the egg white till stiff & proceeded....they came out great that way too...if i remember correctly i turned the oven way down (like for baking meringues) because they were looking odd at some point...after a while i turned the oven off & let them dry out...they came out more like candy....i never realized i made a mistake until the next time i read the recipe...lol

I did what another person suggested and used 2 eggs whites, 2 tsp. water and 1 tsp. vanilla. (I left out the cinnamon because I wasn't wanting that flavor in what I was using the pecans for.) These pecans are perfect! I had to quickly store the cooled nuts so that my husband and I wouldn't eat them all in one day!

I don't normally post reviews, but this time I felt like I had to. The first time I made these I followed the recipe (even though the majority of reviews suggested otherwise). They were awesome! I figured if they were that good without making the suggested changes, they would be even better if I made the suggested changes (adding an additional egg white, and using vanilla instead of water). Well, I was VERY disappointed. They turned out chewy, and more glazed, instead of having the crunchy sweet coating on them that I loved when I followed the recipe. Plus, I felt like the vanilla deterred from the yummy spice flavor of the cinnamon. So, I've now made them a 3rd time and have to tell you that they are so much better if you follow the recipe. I normally tweak recipes based upon the suggestions in reviews, and if you did the same and never tried them the way the recipe states you may be happy, but if you try them without making the changes they will be even better! The only change I will say that I think helps is adding more cinnamon. I doubled it up but I suggest leaving everything else the same. Don't add more egg whites, and don't substitute the vanilla!

Just made my second batch (burned the first - but I munched on them anyway!) This time I gave them a little more attention. My oven cooks fast so @ 400 degrees they only cooked about 15 min. I too subbed H2O for vanilla, 1/2 br. sug. and kicked it up with a couple dashes of cayanne! My picky 5 yr old even loved it - not too spicey! I will be putting these in my blue cheese chopped salad tonight! Can't wait:)

I am so sad my daughter developed a nut allergy because I can't make these anymore. They smell phenomenal while baking and are especially delicious if eaten warm!

I wanted some pecans for my salad, and these are excellent. A word of caution, though: You might want to have a few people around when they're done, otherwise you might eat the whole batch by yourself! I halved the recipe. Changes were 1 t. water, 1/2 t. vanilla; only stirred 3 times and baked for 65 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet. Cleanup was easy - just soak the pan for a few minutes and the sugar comes right off. These are crunchy/crispy and VERY good!! Thanks!

This recipe was very good. Unlike the Candied Pecans you buy at the mall kiosk, these are much better once they cool down. I think the flavor could be improved by some more cinnamon, but overall it was a recipe we will use again.

These are delicious! I have made them several times now and I always get compliments on them. I have also been asked for the recipe many times. Really excellent and easy to prepare. You could pay a lot of money for these if you bought them in a store, but made yourself for a very reasonable price!
