Dont be fooled by other recipes on this site for sugar coarted pecans. I thought for sure that more spices would enhance the flavor of the pecans but this recipe is by far the best (i've tried them all). i made the same changes everyone has suggested ( sub vanilla for water and half brown/half white sugar) Although the sub vanilla for water change works, I suggest sticking to white sugar like the original recipe says- it tastes better. Also DO NOT increase the temp to 400 as others have suggested to cut cooking time- stick to 250. This is an easy way to BURN your pecans- trust me, i know from experience!!!

Fantastic and so easy. Followed some recommendations from others and used 2 egg whites, 2 tsp water, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp cinnamon. Mixed everything in the same bowl. First whipped up wet ingredients, added pecans and mixed and then added the dry ingredients that I had mixed together. Poured all on no stick tin foil on a cookie sheet, set oven at 300 and in less than an hour they were done. Had to hide them so we wouldn't eat them all before Thanksgiving. Will make a double batch for Christmas.

I made this last year for a Thanksgiving tailgate party and everyone loved them! I am making them again for my office Thanksgiving party and I am sure they will be a hit.

Very, very easy recipe. Followed directions, but upped the oven to 300 degrees and used parchment paper, NO STICKING! Very good! Will send these to work with my son for Christmas. Tasted better than the plain glazed, and easier. Using egg white is not a big deal. Used the hand mixer for the egg white. Will definitely make these, all year long! Now, to add different flavors!

Great Recipe!! These are wonderful, i made them after reading quite a few reviews and they are deffently a five star. The only thing that I did different was I used a teaspoon of cinnamon. My children loved them. Also it makes your house smell wonderful while they are cooking. Thanks for such a great recipe.

I made these for a Boxing Day dinner and my cousin's husband couldn't stop eating them to the point that he made me take them out of the room! Very high in sugar. Next time I will decrease the amount of sugar I put in - just to be health conscious. The cinnamon really gives it that extra zing but I also add some vanilla flavouring which should make up for a reduced sugar amount.

Fantastic!! I too followed the great advice here and used 2 egg whites, 1 tsp water and 1/2 tsp vanilla. The bit of vanilla adds just a hint of flavor. I will make these again and again. Thanks for this amazing recipe and for everyone's tips.

Easy, excellent snack. Others suggested using gallon sized bags to coat the pecans, but I had no trouble with using bowls. Either way, this is super easy and the pecans turn out great.

Thanks for a great recipe! I used these to top pumpkin cupcakes, and they were a monster hit. I'll definitely use this crazy-easy recipe again! I think I'll try them with savory spices too.

My sister-in-law makes these but she adds a tablespoon of orange extract and they are simply fantastic!!! She makes a big batch of these at Christmas every year and I just can't get enough of them!

I doubted my husband when he wanted to get all fancy and make these. I admit I was wrong. These are awesome! We put them in a spinach salad with strawberries, mozerella cheese and a poppy seed dressing.

Just like all other reviewers a definite "5" star. This is so easy and they are absolutely delicious. I took the suggestion of others and used 2 egg whites and added 1 tsp of vanilla. They are now sitting in an airtight container ready for future use. YUM!
