HOLY COW!!!!!!! Amazing. Do what others before you have done: replace the water with vanilla, double the cinnamon.

Oh my goodness! Oh my! These are the best!! I am sure the recipe as written is fantastic, but I did change a couple things based on the recommendations of others. I used about 1.5 egg whites, versus just one. I also added a bit of vanilla into the tablespoon of water and I was a little generous on the 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. I didn't need the Ziplock bags, that seemed like extra fuss. Just mixed the dry ingredients in one big mixing bowl and the egg whites and water in another big bowl. Tossed the pecans in each bowl and voila. They turned out fantastic and I will have a hard time keeping away from them before Christmas. AMAZING!!

I've made these for several years now and thought I had reviewed already because they're awesome. I don't alter the recipe at all, it is perfect as written. Thanks!

I made these to top a butter lettuce salad with feta and dried cranberries with white balsamic vinegar...my son ate the rest! Absolutely delish and so very easy.

These taste very buttery and are always a hit when I make them. They make great bar nuts for parties.

This is great with walnuts too, since that is what I had on hand! I added some nutmeg and vanilla too.

Easy to make. Use plastic bags to cut down on the mess. I've never had a problem with clumping. Are you sure you're turning the pecans every 15 minutes?

For 1 and 1/2 lb (6 cups pecans), I upped it to 2 egg whites. Also added 1 TBSP vanilla (as others suggested) and more cinnamon. The key to this great recipe is definitely the low temp and stirring it every 15 minutes for an hour, and every 3-5 minutes after that if needed to get the nuts dry. Other recipes call for a much hotter oven for less time, and reviewers are often sad that their goodies burned. Thanks!

If I could give these 5 more stars I would... They were super easy to make and people in my family who don't normally like nuts at all couldn't stop eating them... They were actually fighting over them! LOL I got a great pic of them and I will upload it soon... :)

Wowsers these are FANTASTIC. If you make them, keep copies of the recipe around because you will get asked for it. I use 2 egg whites, 1 T of vanilla. I also cut back the sugar to 3/4 C and make the cinnamon 1/4 C. I LOVE to chop these nuts up and serve them on top of a salad with cranberries and blue cheese. Also, they are great on ice cream. YUMMY YUMMY!
