There are probably millions of taco salad recipes available, but I don't even bother looking at them because this one is a winner! It's one of the few recipes I've ever used where I don't change a thing. Can't wait to make it again!

This was okay. It was neither outstanding or gross. I did change it slightly and used plain tortilla chips.

Good recipe--just right for a light summertime meal. I had to leave off the beans for my finicky husband and I used more than 1/2 cup salad dressing (Creamy Buttermilk Dressing from this site). Subbed Fritos for the nacho-flavored chips. Thanks for sharing!

Very good salad. Filled us all up! I mixed some sour cream with salsa and topped our salad with it along with the ranch dressing. (I had mine with Catalina dressing, hubby and son had ranch) I used the entire can of ranch beans instead of just half. There were no leftovers with this keeper. Thanks for sharing Sue!

Every one loves this. Whit a few changes I add avocado and sliced olives. Also brown the meat with chopped onions, and use equal amounts of taco sauce and ranch dressing (sour cream works if out of ranch dressing) for the kick that makes every one ask what's the secret to your dressing.

Excellent, had it for supper tonight and even the one year old loved it. We added white onion to this (personal preference). This is quick and easy. Great for the family on the move!

Great tasting- I like it even after the chips have softened a bit! I added ranch to the ground beef along with the kidney beans, and then made the salad individually. Great!

I wasn't sure about the whole ranch thing in the tacos, but I tried it tonight and this was very good! It made it more salad instead of tacos. This is going to be a summer dinner in my house! Thanks! I heated a half can of refried beans with the meat instead of kidney beans though.

Made this salad and loved it. Easy to make . If making ahead just leave out the dressing & chips and add later. Munched leftovers later the same day and still tasted ok. Haven't tried keeping it overnight yet.

Make sure you are cooking for a small crowd with this salad. The only thing I don't like about it is that it gets soggy overnight. There's no really good way to eat it left over.

My whole family loves this. It makes a lot and does not keep well so for are family of 6 we like to half the recipe. I usually make all the meat and just have tacos for lunch the next day. Thanks for a new family fav.

mmmm absolutely delicious! I didn't have green onion, so I used a little bit of a yellow onion. I also cut some corn off the cob and added it in as well as some bell pepper. I wish I wasn't full so I could eat some more!

I keep the meat, salad, dressing and chips seperate until meal time. I also add a can of sliced black olives. Some prefer to top the salad with salsa and just crush the chips on top.
