Could use some more flavor. I added black beans, which were good. Next time I might add a little tomato paste, chili powder or hot sauce. I did put some of the tomato mix inside the peppers, which made for a moister meal.

I was really looking forward to these and they smelled so good when they were cooking...but they didn't taste all that great. I think they would have been better if the tomato sauce was stuffed inside along with the meat, and maybe omit the rice? I wish I could give this more stars, but they just weren't that flavorful.

Yummy! I did change a few things, I used diced tomatoes with garlic oregano and basil, in place of the fresh tomato. (They have more flavor and less work if your in a crunch to make dinner) I browned the ground beef before I mixed it with the rice, and I added a sprinkle of grated parmesan to the meat and rice combination. Since the meat was cooked already the cook time was shortened to a 25 min simmer. This is a great week night meal.

When filling my peppers, I made layers of cheese and filling. This allowed for the cheese to be equally distributed throughout the pepper. I realy like these.

This was great! I also added black beans and corn to the meat mixture that went inside the green pepper. It made it very interesting! Thanks for the recipe!

We loved it. I made a couple changes though. I used a pound of ground lamb, 3tbs of fresh chopped basil, 1 1/2 cups of rice, 1/4 cup of water, a 1/2 cup of cheddar, 1 bay leaf and a 14 oz can of tomato sauce. Great recipe!

This is the best stuffed pepper recipe! My husband keeps telling me how good they are. I blanched the green peppers and cut them in half to pile more meat in them. I used ground turkey and topped with parmesan cheese. Thank you for this recipe on my favorite recipe website.

I made these last night and they turned out very well! I added more pepper and basil than the recipe asked for, and garnished the tops of the stuffed peppers w/ mozzerella cheese before serving them. very good recipe!
