Followed directions exactly, but my husband found it tough. (I'm vegetarian, so I didn't try it) I think we will stick to marinating and barbecuing flank steak for now. Thanks for the idea, though.

Delicious marinade-I marinated flank steak overnight.I had 4C leftover chopped onions-I carmelized onions, added sauteed mushrooms & garlic, 1/4C bread crumbs, used this as stuffing, and BBQ'd for 4 minutes each side. Everyone LOVED it. Thanks Bernice!

Very flavorful & easy. I pounded my Flank Steak and rolled it with the prepared rice mixture. I also made a few substitutions; celery instead of water chestnuts, brown rice instead of long grain, white onion for green and brown sugar for molasses.

This recipe was GREAT!!! The whole family enjoyed it, especially the kids. The meat was really tender and juicy and the sauce was also really good. Thanks for the recipe, I'll definately be making this again:O)

Just like my Daddy makes! We always called it "turtle". You wouldn't believe how many people think it's actually turtlemeat!

Excellent. The only suggestion I have is instead of basting at the very end with pan drippings, take those drippings and dip your meat instead. I love it with a lot of the sauce and my husband loved it with a little of the sauce -- but we both LOVED IT!!!
