This is GREAT and my 1st attempt at making cabbage rolls!!! My boyfriend had to have them the next night as leftovers and he NEVER wants the same thing 2 nights in a row!!! I made 1/2 of the recipe which completely filled a 13x9 Pyrex dish, topped with sauce and baked for about 2hrs at 350 covered with foil so I wouldn't have to worry about the rolls breaking apart in the pot. PERFECT!

I have made this recipes many time since coming across it a few years back. My family and I enjoy every time - even my 2 little picky eaters :-). It is one of few meals that I make where my husband will re-heat and eat the leftovers! The only thing I do differenlty is add some tomato sauce to the soup - only because we always eat this with mashed potatoes, and use the extra sauce to pour on top of them. Delish!

I had a family friend make these for me when I was a kid and have been searching for a recipe when I found this one. I just want to say I love it and thank you so much for posting this. My kids and husband love this recipe and continue to ask me to make it.

I found that the filling of this recipe was good, although for the sauce, I follow the other recipe for cabbage rolls on this site that calls for tomato sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, and worchestershire sauce. Then it is darn good!

This was a very tasty dinner! The meat turned out surprisingly tender. I made a few modifications with the suggestions of other members. I used Prego sauce instead of tomato soup. I also made spaghetti and used the stuffed cabbage rolls as meat balls. The only negative comment or suggestion or what have you is that the recipe asks the 20 minutes for the rice and 40 minutes for the rolls but I followed the recipe as it suggested and I nearly burned the meal. I cooked the rice for about 10 minutes and the rolls for about 30 minutes and it turned out just fine! Yummy!

My family absolutely LOVED these!! Def going to make again! I also added the 1Tbl of, brown sugar, lemon juice, worchestshire sauce, 2 tsp minced garlic, upped the pepper to 1/2 tsp, and used tomato paste instead of soup (because I HATE tomato soup). It was amazing!!!

this is actually a very good recipe. It's actually a very old Polish recipe called golabki (pronounced (gaw-WOHMP-kee) and means little pigeons. The original recipe calls for ground pork and without the rice. But this recipe is fantastic!

Excellent recipe. Made just a few modifications. 1. Omitted tomato soup and used a couple of spoonfuls of tomato sauce in the filling. 2. Also added some ground pork sausage in the filling. 3. Poured a can of stewed/diced tomatoes over the cabbage rolls to simmer. This busy working mom also doubled the filling. I froze the other half of the filling to make stuffed peppers with later (add some shredded cheese and done!). I love shortcuts to home cooking! Toothpicks are fun, but they were not necessary here.
