I couldn't go without rating this recipe. I made this maybe 3weeks ago. My family loved it. My younger son was skeptical at first when he saw me rolling meat with cabbage but it was a hit. I did make some alterations with diced italian tomatoes on top and shredded cheese and turkey sausage with the ground beef and rice. It's a great way to get you family to eat veggies if you have a hard time like I do. My sister liked it so much she asked me to make it for Thanksgiving.

Wow! Absolutely love this recipe! It's stuffed cabbage rolls as simple as you can make them. The only thing I tweaked was the meat, I'm vegetarian so I substituted Morningstar's Meal Starters Meat Crumbles- it was perfect! And the fact that it freezes well is wonderful, I'm in college and I'm always looking for quick/easy/tasty recipes that can be made in a large batch and eaten later. Bravo, loved it!

Father-in-law asked for these. Never made them before, but they were really good. They were even fairly easy to assemble and reheated very well.

I love this recipe! My family recipe calls for baking cabbage rolls, but I must say, I like the stovetop cover method, faster! I use lots more soup b/c I like mine soupy, typically make 2 pans and use 2.5 cans per pan. Thanks, been making this recipe now for over 5years. Grandma would be proud!

Very simple, but also very tasty. I made these tonight and they came out wonderful. The only change I made was the addition of some garlic to the meat, but other than that, I pretty much stuck to the recipe and it came out really good.

I was a little unsure about this recipe because of the simplicity...but it turned out great! I had to tweek it a bit, only using 1/2lb. lean ground beef and maybe 1/4 of sausage (Jimmy Dean) because it was all I had on hand. I used brown rice, extra onion, and seasoned it up with worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, a little ketchup and a few diced tomatoes from a can. I then used some more of the diced tomatoes and tomatoe sauce instead of the tomato soup. Used low sodium everything (dad has CHF) - and everyone loved this easy, healthy recipe. Will make again.

I like to add shredded cheddar cheese and sage to the meat mixture, and instead of soup I use canned tomato juice. Fantastic!

A really nice basic cabbage roll-- my Mother in law was Polish, and taught me how to cook these when I married her son-- she traditionally used ground pork/veal, but since veal is hard to come by, I use beef/pork. The pork gives it a nice flavor. Also, she used tomato juice/chopped tomatoes instead of tomato soup. And for the richest flavor yet, she added sour cream into the sauce just before serving. Outstanding!

I used vegan ground "beef" crumbles as I'm a vegetarian. I loved it. I would suggest cooking in the slow cooker.

My husband is a very picky eater and loves this stuffed cabbage recipe! I make mine with ground turkey and he thinks it is even better than the tried and true recipe!

This was a really easy and quick recipe to make. I added a bit more salt to taste and along with the tomato soup I threw in some chopped canned tomatoes (basil, garlic flavor) in the hamburger mixture and the rest on top to simmer cause I like more juiciness. Reminds me of when my great grandma used to make this for us. =)

This is the first thing my 3 year old ever ate that I did not have to fight with her over. Also we had some left over filling and a small head of cabbage so I ended up steaming the cabbage and shredding it and then mixed it with the filling in a frying pan. Turned out good left overs. also added some basil and parsley. Ok I think thats it lol but yeah a great dish :D

I have made this a handful of times this summer, and we LOVE it!!! I follow Mary Domaz's recommendation on the homemade sauce in place of the tomato soup. I usually double the sauce. I replace the beef with ground turkey, and I use a wild/brown rice blend in place of the white. I also prepare the rolls and place in a crockpot for 5 hours on low. DELICIOUS!!!! I think they are even better the day after. My husband loves taking these for lunch the next day.

I love to make this recipe for my fam-they eat it up. It's pretty easy to make if you have done it before. My suggestion to make this faster use instant rice-you can't tell when its mixed in. Thanks

This was a pretty easy recipe and since it was my first time making it, I stuck to the directions. Not so sure I would use tomato soup again. It was a little sweet for our liking. The hint about steaming the head of cabbage was fantastic! Next time I'll definitely add more flavor to the stuffing. All in all, this was a good base recipe that leaves lots of room to add your own twist.
