I doubled the recipe to accommodate my family, omitted the oil . I found these pancakes to be runny in the middle, even though they weren't very thick. The flavour was really good but there is definitely room for improvement.

Yummy with strawberry pancakes! But, if you make it with fresh berries, the strawberries do tend to give off a lot of juice.

I made up this batter for my dad when he had to have a test done and couldn't have his normal breakfast of cerial. His favorite flavor is vanilla. So for a change of pace I made this for him. He liked it and so did I.

Perfect recipe, although I added almost a quarter cup more flour as the batter was very runny. They came out super light and fluffy and fresh!! Yummy!!

I am going to give this 5 stars because I made very simple changes and they were delicious. Due to other reviews, I decreased vanilla to 1 TBS and it was plenty! I also gradually added the milk because I wanted a thicker consistency, so ended up probably using about 3/4C milk. Other than that I followed the recipe and used blueberries as my fruit. Delicious! Can't wait to make again tomorrow morning!

I made these for brunch.. They turned out good. The only thing I will do next time is chop the strawberries very small and maybe a tad bit more brown sugar.

The batter is too thin, there is too much vanilla for my taste in this recipe, and the color from the vanilla is unappetizing. The recipe should have called for more flour and only 1 T. or less of clear vanilla. What redeemed this dish was Chef John's Fresh Strawberry Sauce.

I had concerns about 2 tbsp of vanilla, so I used just one. You definitely could taste the vanilla in the pancakes, and 2 tbsp would have been too dominant for us (just a taste preference). The batter consistency was pretty runny, so I did add a bit more flour, otherwise, followed the recipe as written. I wanted pancakes that had some height, and next time, I'll actually add more flour. The strawberries really add moisture to the pancakes, and they had just the right amount of sweetness.
