I made this salad for my family at Easter and it went over really well. I cut the sugar back to about 1/3c and might try cutting it back a little more next time. Not because it was too sweet, but because it tastes just as good with less as it would with more, and it's healthier that way! I also used red onions. Great recipe!

This is fabulous -- even my very picky mother, who thinks I like "wierd food" loves it and asks me to bring it to family events. To "healthy up" this recipe, we cut the olive oil in half. We substituted 1/4 Splenda for the sugar. Still plenty sweet!

Oh my goodness! I am a salad fanatic and this was the BEST salad I have ever had! I used balsamic vinegar (my favorite) instead of the white vinegar and I just about died when I tried my first bite... AMAZING! The strawberries gave a wonderfully tart flavor to the sweetness of the dressing and the bitterness of the spinach. This is my ultimate favorite salad now! Thanks for introducing it to me! :)

So delicious! I made a few changes by adding bacon crumbles and Feta cheese. Also I reduced the sugar a bit. I doubled the spinach and strawberries because the dressing was enough for two salads. It was absolutely fantastic. I will make this again and again!

This was a good dressing..... but way too sweet..I should read reviews 1st. Next time 1/2 the sugar and I would try balsamic vinegar as well.

Thanks so much for this recipe -- really enjoyed it! Made it (for the first time out...) ALMOST as written. Based on other reviews, used only half the sugar (of that, actually 1/2 sugar, 1/2 a Splenda clone...), also used 1/2 white wine vinegar, 1/2 balsamic, and added a dash of salt. Will definitely make again -- may play a bit next time. Thinking that some feta, red onion and/or mandarin orange segments would be wonderful additions. Chicken roasted with a balsamic glaze would also be excellent as a main-course salad... yum!!

I did as others suggested and used balsamic vinegar instead. What made this salad outstanding was the ingredients I added which was blue cheese (A MUST), bacon bits and red onion. The dressing was outstanding, but I used a little bit less sugar than called for. Try adding the blue cheese, bacon bits and red onion to this salad. Everyone loved it! I did not add the almonds due to nut allergy that I have, but it was still delicious.

Great! love the dressing for many different salads. This one- used walnuts instead of almonds, and added feta and chicken breast to make it a meal. Yum!

This recipe is phenomenal! I make slight adjustments to mine by adding more or less of certain ingredients to suit my taste. I also find using different types of nuts such as toasted walnuts also taste wonderful!

Thought this was good, really sweet, so don't be shocked. Took the advice from others and added feta cheese, was a nice addition, thought goat cheese would be good as well. I also added a little romaine, just to give it a little crunch
