Loved the recipe (as i did not have gelatin on hand). I had just gotten back from the farmers market where i got a great deal on strawberries. I have to give it 4 out of 5 because i did change a few things. Instead of 1 cup of sugar, i used 1/2 cup splenda, and 1/4 cup sugar to reduce sweetness. Then i added only 1/2 cup water, with 2-3 tablespoon cream- this gave it a creamier consistency.
I also adjusted the strawberry ratio... i used 3/4 (cut in half) and 1/4 mashed. (instead of 1/2 mashed and 1/2 whole)
I also used a pre-made pie crust left over from making tarts a couple nights before, and sprinkled very lightly with nutmeg.... so simple and easy. I will be making it again!
