So tasty and filling! I used one container of vanilla low fat yogurt (I like Activia) and 1/2 cup 1% milk as I didn't have soy milk. I used about 1/3 cup oats and I ground the first before adding the rest.

This was delicious and my kids couldn't tell it had oatmeal in it! I ground it really fine in the blender before I added everything else, like other's had suggested! Thank you for the great recipe!

I eat oatmeal year round and found I like this smoothie better if I cook the oatmeal in the microwave first to absorb the liquid, then put it in the blender along with the frozen fruit, banana and additional milk. Pre-cooking the oatmeal prevents the gritty texture and also the extra thickening that occurs when the uncooked ground oats start absorbing the liquid. Much smoother texture this way and only adds about three extra minutes to the process.

YUM! I've made this twice. The first time I made it with whole milk. The second I used goat milk due to allergies ( it was creamier than the milk version) and I used honey instead of sugar. My children just love this. I even added a handful of spinach the second time when we had it for lunch. You couldn't even taste a difference!

Add more berries and skip the sugar. I also add a tablespoon of ground flaxseed.

This is a wonderful recipe! I didn't have any strawberries but I did have blueberries. I blended the oats to powder like others suggested. I used 2% milk and for a little mocha taste I used a scoop of my protein powder. It's different with the oats but it definitely gives a full feeling. I don't like eating blueberries but with this recipe I taste more of the banana and mocha. Now I can have my antioxidants in a tasty recipe. Thank you Astrophe!

This is crazy delicious. I made just one serving but kept the whole banana, doubled the vanilla, and omitted the sugar (on a diet). It has no right to be so simple yet taste this good. Perfect to take to work on busy mornings. May add yogurt in future to be more filling.

I didn't have soy milk, so I used the coconut milk I had in the fridge instead. It was delicious!
