Wow -- this is awesome stuff. Just fixed it for my husband (oral surgery, no chewing for a week!) and me. We really like it! Fruit and milk and cereal in a glass.

To think you could ever eat such a delicious breakfast without feeling guilty. I also ground the oats up and substituted sugar with honey. Easy, filling and healthy. Thank you very much!

This is a good recipe. Grinding the oats was a great idea but you need to drink it quick or it will really get thick.

Even though I ground the oats first, the texture was wierd, grainy. Would not make it again because of that.

I substituted Carb Countdown 2% milk for the soy milk, omitted the sugar and vanilla and added 1 tsp honey instead. I also used 1/2 frozen strawberries and 1/2 frozen peaches and ground the oatmeal first. My husband & I really liked this recipe, and will have this in the AM when time is short. Very filling, and I can see experimenting with the fruit and liquid.

Really enjoyed this smoothie! Used less oatmeal than was called for and ground it up first, as others suggested. Used regular milk since I do not like the taste of soy. This would be great with any combination of fruit! Thanks for the great recipe and for the great suggestions!

This was an awesome smoothie! Half of the recipe makes about one smoothie. Using the full recipe, I used 2 bananas rather than one and used 2 packets Splenda rather than sugar. You can use strawberries or mixed berries. The oatmeal I ground in the blender before I put the other ingredients in. The oats really help to keep the smoothie from separating... it was so tasty!

Thanks for a great smoothie. I took out the sugar and added only half of an individual serving packet of Splenda. Really could do without the sugar if you like raw, unsweetened fruit taste. I was just craving a little sweetness. I did grind the oats first, nice texture. Will make again.

It wasn't very sweet. If I make this again I'll use sweeter strawberries. I made it exactly as written and added a little honey to sweeten it after tasting it.

This is great. Made this at least a couple hours ago and I'm still full. Pregrinding the oats was the perfect suggestion by the others. Just sprinkled a little splenda for just a touch of sweetness.

this is absolutely delicious. mine was not vegan, i used skim milk and a bit of vanilla yogurt. otherwise, just like the recipe. one day i added some mango i needed to use up. the oats make it a little texturey (is that a word?), but we loved it. i think you could blend the oats first and then add other ingredients, but i always forget to do that. thanks for this healthy breakfast drink!!

My kids loved this, they thought it was ice cream! I also pre-ground the oatmeal, but used just whole milk and honey, instead of sugar. Excellent.

Really hearty! I enjoy the oatmeal flavor, so I added a bit more. Also added some wheat germ to the blender while I was pre-grinding the oatmeal. Great idea for a super healthy and 'different' breakfast! Thanks!

This smoothie is delicous and very healthy!! I made half of the recipe because I was just wanted one serving but I still had some left over!!I did make the mistake to freeze big strawberries without slicing them into smaller pieces so when I was blending they were very hard to break!! This is keeper!!

This was alright. I used strawberries and a small handful of frozen blueberries. It wasn't very sweet, and my little guy, who normally goes crazy for any shake, wasn't interested in this. We will keep searching for breakfast shakes.
