This was a quick and easy recipe. Added some brown sugar and cinnamon per the recommendations in the other reviews. Made them for a March of Dimes bake sale. They were all gone in a few hours.

These muffins were very tasty although I did make a couple of changes to the recipe: 1. Decreased flour by 1/4 cup 2. Added 1/4 Cup of brown sugar 3. Add 1/2t of vanilla and a little cinnamon to the liquid mixture 4. Used homemade spiced applesauce instead of oil (a much healthier alternative) The result was slightly sweet fruit muffins. I diced the strawberries quite small which seemed to distribute them well while still having chunks of strawberries. I also put half a small strawberry on top. I would definately use this recipe again. It's great to use up bruised strawberries.

This recipe did not work for me. While somewhat tasty, the muffins had a rubbery texture, and the muffins stuck to the baking cups. Like some other reviewers, I noted the muffins did not rise very much. Also, the tops of the muffins did not brown or turn golden, making it hard to tell if they were actually done (I kept them in the oven for the recommended number of minutes per the recipe.) I substituted some brown sugar for the white, and added the vanilla and cinnamon as others suggested. I used fresh strawberries, which I pureed before adding. I thought the flavor of the strawberries came through, but overall, the recipe was not successful for me.

Extremely moist but hardly any strawberry flavor and I used two cups of strawberry too. They're not bad but I would not make them again.

Amazingly moist! I took advice from others and added a bit of extra milk, nutmeg, cinnamon and a pinch of ground clove. I also mixed in brown sugar and splenda baking blend instead of regular sugar. I mixed half wheat and half regular flour and threw in a handful of chocolate chips. Instead of oil I used applesauce w/ 1tbsp of veg. oil mixed in. I topped muffins with a sprinkle of sugar and chopped pecans. My boyfriend was very pleased!

Even though I took others suggustions and added cinammon and vanilla and 1/2 cup more strawberries, the flavor of the muffin was still kind of bland and flourey. I LOVED the baked strawberries though so I want to try this recipe again. Next time I will try another suggestion and puree strawberry into the batter before baking, and use 1/2 brown sugar in place of the white to see if I can fix the muffin flavor. Wish me luck! :)

These were great for morning tea. They are a great way to use the strawberries from the garden. They were quite plain but still tasty. would reccommend if you have leftover strawberries or a strawberry plant.

Added 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, and dusted the tops with walnuts I ran through food processor. Kids picked these muffins for lunch box instead of their hot Cheetos :)

Followed the recipe exactly. Excellent texture; however, major lack in the flavor. Something is missing here... They don't quite have a taste. Sugar needs to be added at least. Maybe some vanilla. I don't know, but this one needs some flavor boost.

Oh my goodness, this recipe was wonderful. With some advice from others I added the brown sugar, almond extract, and cinnamon. These were a big hit with my family especially my kids. I will definitely make them again. These were also really easy to make.

I followed both previous add-in suggestions by including vanilla, cinnamon, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and substituting 1 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour. I also added some raisins as my husband loves them...the muffins are so moist and delicious! Oh, and I had to add extra milk. Next time I am going to add CHOCOLATE CHIPS for that added ROMANCE :-)

These muffins were delicious. I made the mistake of overbaking them, so they were too dry. They would have been better if they were sweeter though.
