I made this as written, without the pecans. I baked it in a large Longaberger pie plate. The topping was too much - next time I'll make half the amount. It ended up not browning (see my picture) and was kinda buttery on top. Other than that, it was a good recipe. It still tasted good - but just didnt look great.

Great homemake coffee cake. Have made it several times. Can use other fruits as well.

This was excellent! I was searching for a way to use up some strawberries and I love that I had the rest of the ingredients on hand. I left out the nuts due to nut allergies in the family, but didn't miss them. This got rave reviews and was so simple. THANKS!!

This was really good. Next time I make this, I'll triple the amount of strawberries. Like other reviewers, I used brown sugar for the topping. Loved it.

I made this today and it is absolutely wonderful - only change I made was to add some cinnamon to the mix as suggested and used brown sugar in the streusel mix instead of white...I used a round 8" pan because I don't have a square one and sure enough the filling ran over into the oven ugh...so I put a foil lined pan underneath it and cooked it for about 10 minutes longer than suggested...the flavor of this coffee cake is really amazing! :) Picked 20 lbs. of strawberries last week so I'm making strawberry EVERYTHING!

Moist & delicious fresh out of the oven. I did not have pecans, used hazelnuts. Yum!

I didn't read the reviews before I made it or I probably would have done like others said and used brown sugar in the topping and cut down the butter. It is pretty good but I think it could have been even better.

I made this this weekend, and followed the recipe as written. It's really tasty, and easy to make.

I don't know what everyone is carrying on about because this didn't turn out at all like the recipe states & I followed it exactly. The strawberries sank, the batter rose up and dissolved the topping. It was super soggy so I cooked it for an hour, which made it a bit more solid and edible, this the 2 stars. Disappointing.
