Great starting point to throw a quick dish together. I used green onions, some bell pepper, added some shredded carrots, added some chopped garlic, added some celery, threw in a little dried chopped red pepper and a dash of cayenne and it was excellent - especially as leftovers for lunch the next day. I also cooked a couple small red potatoes and threw them in and cut them into rough chunks with the spatula just before dishing it out.

I actually used ground pork because that's all I had. I also served it with brown rice. It was a delicious meal and I can't wait to try it with ground beef.

Great dish!! Used larger 30 oz. can of beans and 1 can of regular diced tomatoes and 1 can of diced tomatoes with green chiles, ground turkey, and nixed the ground mustard (didn't have any). Absolutely delicious and definitely going to make this dish again. Makes great leftovers too!

This was a refreshingly, different, tasty side dish. I am always looking for ways to dress up standard dishes, like pinto beans, and this receipe did not disappoint. What's even more exciting is that the ingredients are those I nomally already have on hand so I can make it at a whim.

I made this and thought it was quite bland. But, I served this over a bed of lettuce with Salsa as dressing and it was a wonderful tex-mex salad! I will probably add a taco type of seasoning to it next time to give it just a bit of kick.

Despite the name, this is actually more like chili. I used a can of chopped green chiles instead of the green pepper. I tasted it while it was simmering and thought it was a bit bland so I added some garlic powder and creole seasoning. This is an excellent weeknight meal because it's very easy to make using the canned ingredients. Thanks!

So quick and easy, this was a winner! My husband loved it. I added red pepper and corn as well and served it over white rice w/ corn muffins. Delicious!

This was SO simple to make. It tasted fine, but it seemed a little plain. We added a can of corn to it just to give it a little more oomph! It's still missing something...

Talk about comfort food! Very yummy and so fast to make. I substituted ground turkey for the beef. Since I was out of green peppers, I used a can of green chilis. This is a keeper. Thanks!
