SUBMITTED BY:
Imogene Hutton
"'MAMA used Texas Longhorn cheese in this recipe. When the cheese melted, it covered all the macaroni. I loved to dig in and see how many strings of cheese would follow my spoonful.'"

Delicious! A huge hit with my family. Use different kinds of cheese to change it up. I love that the ingredients are simple and are kitchen staples that most everyone already has on a regular basis. This recipe gives the boxed kind a run for it's money!

I was in need of a quick mac-n-cheese recipe, and this was quick AND delicious! I had everything on hand- which was even better. I just added extra sharp cheddar instead of the regular- thanks for the recipe!

I did not like this recipe. I followed it to the letter. The appearance and smell were wonderful, but the taste was awful. There was a grainy texture to the final mix and I couldn't taste the cheese at all. I made this for Thanksgiving dinner, but luckily I had a container of Velveeta and I also doubled the amount of macaroni I cooked just in case this didn't turn out. Sorry, but I'm going to keep looking for another mac and cheese recipe.

I had to double the cheese so that it would be etable. It had a grainy texture to it.

Quick and easy. I ran out of the blue box variety, so I needed something in a fix. What a plus that I had the ingredients on hand, too. I used a variety of cheeses (colby/jack mix and a mexican mix) and it turned out good. You may need to experiment a little with what cheese you would like best.

I liked this recipe a lot after the changes I made: -Used extra noodles (way too much cheese sauce, but I used small elbows)... about 10 oz. instead of 7. -added greek seasoning to (individual) taste. This was really really good =)

Easy to follow, good base recipe. In order to get the results you want, you have to use your own different ingredients. Thicken it up and it's good to go. Mine was fantastic.

My family did not care for this recipe. My 8 year old daughter loves mac n cheese. She eats it 5 days a week. This is the first time she turned down her favorite food. My husband and I both agree with her.

Awesome recipe. Make sure you use sharp cheddar. Can also be sprinkled with bread crumbs and some grated parm and baked until golden brown.

This turned out pretty. I added some hot sauce and dry mustard and used canned milk and used more cheese than called for. Thanks, I was wanting a stove top method and this works.
