"It is a good cookie that you can do many things with. You can put frosting on it, you can eat it plain, or mix melted chocolate chips in the dough. It tastes really good!" — Jon Carbon

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter
The recipe is a family favorite to make each year for Christmas because the cookies aren't too doughy, but are easy to handle for big and little fingers to decorate. I find that it's easier to handle the longer I refrigerate it.
THESE WERE DELICIOUS! MOST DEFINATELY EASIER TO WORK WITH WHEN THE BATTER IS COOLED! I ADDED A LITTLE CINN AND EXTRA SUGAR MMM! I WILL BE MAKING THESE FROM NOW ON!

These turned out a bit dry for me. I like mine very moist and chewy. The dough seemed very sticky to roll out, I had to use lots of flour.
