Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses are layered between slices of buttered bread, and baked in a nicely spiced egg and milk batter. This is a wonderful recipe for a special occasion Brunch or Breakfast. Passed on to my by a dear friend, this has been a Christmas Morning tradition in my home for almost 10 years

Crab and shrimp are layered in a breakfast casserole with Swiss cheese and bread. This is a wonderful recipe that can be prepared ahead of time. Serve with a crisp green salad and lots of hot French bread.

Easy, inexpensive, and tasty. A savory moist alternative to pasta or potatoes, great as a side with grilled meat or poultry, or a main course with a side of greens. A great way to use stale bread (save in the freezer - mix and match, even bagels, but nothing sweet for this recipe!)
