This recipe is "different." I expected this to be more cobbler-like and instead it was like a breakfast egg dish, definitely not a dinner side dish. My suggestion-- don't make this recipe, unless you're into eggs for dinner, you probably won't like it. As for "picky eaters" eating this, it didn't happen. I will never make this again.

I love squash casserole and this is the best recipe I've found for three reasons. One, you don't have to precook the squash: therefore, the squash is not mushy but firm if you make the pieces chunky rather than thinly sliced Two, you don't have to crush all those buttery round crackers. The bisquick absorbs all the liquid from the squash. Three, it tasts better than any other recipe I've tried. The real difference is the firmness of the squash. The only change I've made is to cook it in an 8x11 pan instead of 9x13 even when I increase ingredients. I usually increase the squash and add a little milk to make the sauce go further. Thanks so much for this recipe!

Yum! I made this to serve instead of green bean casserole at Thanksgiving. It's great! I used a little less bisquik and onions, and a little more green chile and cheddar cheese.

I made this at a potluck and it was devoured almost immediately. Will get experimental and try it with bay scallops and crab meat.

This was so easy, but it lacked something. I probably won't make it again, but if I do, I will play around with it some. Don't forget to add some salt.

It tasted great, but it had more "breading" than I'd hoped. Maybe if it was made with half the biscuit mix, it would hit the spot.

This is a unbelieveably simple yet tasty dish. I always read ingredients before I am willing to try something because of such picky eaters. They usually won't eat anything out of a package, not even biscuit mix. But even the pickies loved this. He would rather eat everything raw, than put a pre packaged anything with his veggies, but this was great...
