The first time I served this it turned out more like a float than a slushy. So for the second serving I made sure to stir the mixture after it was frozen and it came out much better.

I made this the day before I had my tonsillectomy and it turned out great! First of all, I did not find the lime sherbert I wanted to buy in the store, so I bought edy's mixed berry sherbert (1.45 qaurts) instead. I used orange and raspberry jello packets insted of lime as well. Since the container my sherbert came in held 1.45 quarts, and not 2, I reduced the water used for the jello by 1 cup (1 1/2 hot, 1 1/2 cup cold). I had this served up with the ginger ale when I got out of the hospital and it was delicious! It's still helping my sore throat greatly as I recover. The rest of my family loved it too! Perfect for a hot summer day :).
