This was simple and I enjoyed it but it wasn't anything very special. With the nuts it reminded me of something similar I make with cranberries and nuts. The dish wasn't blanded but for me it was missing some element. But as far as healthy recipes go I would make this again.

This was fantastic. I used canned sliced button mushrooms and dried minced onion. I'll use fresh onion next time though. I think you could use any toasted nut you wanted such as almonds or pecans if you didn't have walnuts and it would still be just as good. We ate it all. Thanks!

This is not a new way to eat spinach for me, but it’s such a *good* way to eat spinach I just thought I’d pass the word around. I followed the recipe loosely. I didn’t use the broth – didn’t need it. I preferred not to use the walnuts and instead of garlic powder I used the real thing. I also sautĂ©ed some bacon before adding the mushrooms, onions and garlic. I also added a good dab of butter. Spinach is not just one of my favorite vegetables; this is my favorite way to prepare it. I found the directions somewhat odd – in my mind, if you have to serve this with a slotted spoon that would mean the spinach is sitting in a lot of liquid – and that just isn’t necessary or desirable.

I thought this was a great, healthy way to eat spinach. Not too much effort either. I also added tomatoes and I can see how chick peas would be great in it. My husband wasn't a huge fan but by the time he ate it, it was a little cold. I'm making it again tonight!

Mmm! The only changes I made were to add a chopped tomato and extra freshly-ground pepper. Next time I make it, I'll use fresh garlic and add chickpeas to make this a main dish.

Great recipe! I used a Portobello instead of regular mushrooms and added a two small heirloom tomatoes, diced. All in all, very tasty.
