no matter what other reveiwers may say you have to try this recipe. it is really good. i followed the ingredients to the t. the only change to preparing the recipe is i sauteed the spinach in a little butter wih the garlic until it wilted. i think a key to this dish for flavor is make sure you use a good quality bacon. my personal favorite is wright brand applewood smoked. it is thick and full of flavor and meat. not all fat. i cooked it down just until some of the fat started melting away and edges started turning before wrapping the chicken. besides that, stuck it in the oven and cooked for directed amount of time. no dry chicken here.

I used cream cheese instead of sour cream and pepper jack cheese and I used prosciutto instead of bacon. It was delicious.

I followed directions and this came out perfect. The bacon was a bit much. Next time I will try it without. And I got my husband to eat spinach!

One of the best chicken breasts I have ever ate or cooked. Even my picky 6 year old ate these and wanted more.

This is a really great recipe! It was perfect pretty much as directed. Next time I cook chicken breasts, though, I think I will use the buttermilk marinade tip that other posters have mentioned!

It definitely looked better than it tasted. Wasn't terrible, but wouldn't make it again.

So good! My husband wished I had made more! I advise cooking the bacon partway before wrapping. I did not use toothpics either, I hand none!, but it turned out just fine to fill the breast and wrap the bacon and place it in the (foil lined!)dish. It made for such easy cleanup. I also slightly breaded the chicken...rubbed olive oil on them and padded breadcrumbs mixed with some italian seasoning to give the chicken more flavor. Delicious!

I also found the chicken a little dry but chalked it up to my cooking skills. Very good filling and the bacon adds a nice kick!

Very good recipe. Just a tad bit dry on the chicken breast. But taste was excellent. I used the leftover spinach mixture as a cracker dip and it's yummy also.

Did not marinate...did partially cook the bacon, saute the chicken and garlic in some of the bacon drippings, added the cheeses to the spinach mixture. It was excellent.

I followed advise of reviewer and marinated chicken, partially cooked bacon ahead, and used her filling/spice suggestion. And it was fairly good, but not great. I tasted the filling before baking and it was yummy. However,I think the cheese and sour cream melt out of the chicken during baking, leaving it a bit dry and plain. This is good, but not great recipe. Needs bit more tweaking.

terribly dry and lacks flavor. Has lots of potential though. I highly reccomend generously seasoning chicken breast with salt and pepper. Season spinach mixture, and add more cheese than whats called for. Keep an eye on the chicken because cooking time does vary. I think mine was done at about the 25 minute mark. I also recommend the sauce that other commentors suggested making. This is a really beautiful dish, just needs some additions in my opinion. I will try this one again...like I said, it has lots of potential.
