my son is so picky and wont eat hardly any veggies, I was able to hide the spinach by mixing in some of the tomato sauce with the cheese mixture

Made this last night for dinner with the in-laws... Father-in-law "doesn't like italian food", but he loved this! VERY tasty! I only mixed 1 cup of water with the sauce before baking and it turned out fine.

I did not add the water and then sauteed the onions and garlic before adding to the ricotta (also a touch of nutmeg). DElicious!

Very good recipe. Definitely use a bag for piping the filling into the shells. I, too, didn't add water to the sauce. It would have been way too watery otherwise. Sauce alone was perfect. And it froze and reheated heavenly.

What a wonderful dish! I've already made it twice, my husband loved it! I think next time I'm going to stuff shells and see if it turns out just as good. Great dish!

This was awesome! I was so exicted to fine a manicotti recipe where you don't have to cook the noodles before hand. I used italian sausage canned sauce which added a nice flavor. It makes a lot too, it fed 5 adults and one child and we still had half of a 9x13 pan left. I bet this would freeze well too.

This recipe is really amazing. I got three boys who HATE spinach to literally clean the pan and ask for more!! The only change I made was to use alfredo sauce instead of red sauce. So so so good!!

Superb, no changes needed. This time I used Florentine and cheese sauce from 'classico'...who says you can ever get enough spinach and cheese! Used only one jar and 1/4 cup water and forgot the garlic..dang that's a staple in this house.....oh well it was still delish.

I thought this was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I followed the recipe exactly, and liked the addition of the minced onion in the filling.

I used fresh spinach which I cooked with the onion, fresh garlic, homeade spaghetti sauce and no water. Like someone else commented the texture of the noodles is not the same as when you preboil the noodles. However because it eases preparation I will continue to make it the way it is stated.

A friend made this recently and it was delicious. For mine, I added just a bit more seasoning but even the kids ate more than one.

This recipe is very good! I browned 1 lb ground beef and 1 link of Italian sausage together and added to the cheese mixture. I also used half package of ricotta and half package cottage cheese. I used Marinara sauce and it was delicious!! My kids complained about the spinach, but you have to sneak veggies in somehow!!!! I will make again!! Served with buttered french bread and seasoned fine green beans.

At the risk of sounding like everyone else, this was really good. I made very few changes based on comments by other reviewers - I used minced garlic instead of powder, basil instead of parsley, and I added a scant 1/2 tsp. of red pepper flakes. I also sauteed the onion and garlic before adding. Stuffing the uncooked shells eliminated my normal irritation with making manicotti (which is the fragility of the shells). This pleased both my husband and my two kids, and pleased the most critical of us - me. I loved loved loved that I was able to make it in the morning and just pop it in the oven at dinnertime. It made for a very fuss-free evening, and that in itself is worth lots of stars! Lucky for me it was yummy, too.

Great recipe. I made mucho changes because I didn't have all the required ingredients. Substituted Romano Cheese for the Parmesian. Used canned spinach instead of frozen. Added a handful of currents and a little pignoli nuts for some crunch factor. Instead of tomato sauce, I used Ragu Alfredo Sauce. I also cut up small and fried in olive oil some mushrooms to add into the mixture. Lastly, I didn't have manicotti shells on hand, so I used jumbo shells instead. All these flavors came together deliciously, thanks to the basic recipe's foundation. This one is a keeper for sure.

Loved it, exactly what I was looking for. I did not use any water, added more garlic and seasonings to give it a little taste: would have been very bland otherwise. Hubby still found it a little bland, I will triple the parmesan next time. I filled a quart zip bag with the cheese and cut a hole in a corner to fill the noodles, made my life easier.
