I, too, thought it was pretty bland yet completely workable. I took the advice to use fresh onion and garlic and frozen spinach. I eliminated the garlic powder and added salt. I will make this again, but, next time I am going to use some seasoning salt and maybe add some parmesan cheese. Thank you for sharing!

This was soooooo yummy! I cooked it up for an easter brunch and those of us not afraid of spinach really enjoyed it. By necessity, I used herb and garlic bread crumbs. I did add an equal amount of both garlic and onion powder (I think I may just sautee a little of the real things next time and do away with the powders all together). It was not bland at all. The marinated artichoke hearts gave it a nice zing. My mother is diabetic, so she ate just a smidge, but I think even without the day old bread it would be tasty and cut way down on the carbs. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

This is quite good. It's sort of like a quiche. I was surprised at how well it sliced and came out of the dish intact. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because it was a little bland for my taste. It needed a little more seasoning. Maybe seasoned bread crumbs would help--I used plain. Or maybe adding a little salt to the recipe. I think I might make this again and try to season it up a little. BTW, I used frozen spinach and it worked just fine.

I have fixed this recipe a few times and my family just raves about it. It even works well with frozen spinach. Thank you Pamela English
