Simple but very tasty! I added chopped pecans and should have increased the amount of liquids because there was barely any 'dressing' but the flavor was great! I also used only spinach leaves which worked out great as well. Will use this again and again.

I have made this at least 20 times and each time I love it even more! I don't know why I even bother making any other kind of salad as this is the beat by far.

Oh So Good! I made it with what I had on hand, so that meant substituting with red wine vinegar and omiting the onions, but it still tasted great. This will be a regular at our house for now on.

Yummy! The apples and cider vinegar compliment each other well. Raisins go good with that combo too, and I used red onion which I thought went well. Other reviewers had some good ideas though so next time I will try throwing in some feta cheese, lemon juice, and craisins instead of raisins for a different flavor. Also I used only spinach but I think any combination or variation of greens would work.

This was really good. I had to adjust to what I had in the pantry. I just used apple cider vin, splash of lemon juice, instead of rasins I added grapes and a handful of craisins. Also a few crumb of feta. Thanks for the recipe.

Pretty good... I'll add some sort of cheese next time. I may switch the raisins for grapes as other users have suggested.

This salad was very easy and so tasty for the little work needed to make it. I made it for just myself and it was fantastic, so fantastic I think I'll make it for lunch tomorrow. I added some craisins along with the raisins and used Fuji apples. The only downside is that the craisins/raisins and apples sunk to the bottom so be sure to mix it well before serving to bring them back to the top.

I used what I had on hand (no raisins) for the salad and used a different dressing I had already made. Still wonderful!

I made this to accompany roast chicken at a recent dinner party. Everyone raved over it. I did follow other advice and add toasted almonds for the extra crunch. Will become a regular on our dinner table.

A big hit, i toasted some almonds with sugar in the oven. It gave it a nice subtle nutty flavor. I will make it again very very soon~

This salad was wonderful. I tried when we were having company for dinner. My husband said don't be offended if there is alot leftover. He looked at the recipe and thought he wouldn't like it. Our company loved, and they even convinced my husband to try it and he had to admit that he did like it! I doubled it for 8 people. And also added some walnuts that I had left from a dessert I was making.

It ended up being eaten by the kids at the cook-out we went to, because all the adults had some kind of issue with spinach. . .but the kids LOVED it! :D

I loved this salad and so did my boyfriend. I even added a little bit of feta to the salad to add a little bit more flavor and some protein.

Instead of making the dressing I used Emeril's Rasberry Balsamic Vinegrette and put a little bit in the bottom of the bowl to flavor and preserve the apples, raisins and onion. At the last minute I put the rest of the dressing on the salad and tossed. All my guests loved it.

I absolutely loved this, which served as the base for a salad I made for a large group of people. I did not use Romaine (only spinach) and did not include the onion either. I substituted dried sweetened cranberries for the raisins and added a delicious caramelized almond (just sugar & almonds in a pan, and the sugar melts onto the almonds and caramelizes - I used a 10 or 12 oz package and 1 cup sugar). This was quite possibly one of the best salads I have made and was very popular among people from all over the world.

This is a good recipe. I used grapes instead of rasins. The only thing I didn't like was that the oil made the lettuce and spinach soggy instantly.
