Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 9- or 10-inch-round baking pan.
  2. Prepare brownie batter according to package directions; stir in chopped Butterfinger. Spoon into prepared pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese, sugar and milk in small mixer bowl until smooth. Pipe cream cheese mixture into concentric circles over brownie batter. Using wooden pick or tip of knife, pull tip through cream cheese from center to last circle to create a spiderweb effect.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out almost clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into wedges using wet knife.

YUM!.. I had a box of "Gir-- Brownie mix which already had chips in it so I skipped the Butterfingers. That would be a great addition for kids but we are all adults and I didn't want them too sweet; my big guys enjoyed the spider web! :) I made this to play up Halloween this month. I used an 9" pan but wasn't able to get as many circles as I needed to use up all of the cream cheese, I would use a 10-inch pan next time. I followed the box's instructions which were "bake at 325 for 50 minutes" It baked perfect and the cream cheese didn't brown too much at the lower temp.
