I made this soup according to the instructions minus the crab. The taste is wonderful and NOT too spicy. I think this would have benefited from the crab to add some dimension and consistency. This did not do enough to fill me up on its own...so make sure to have a side. Thumbs up.

I had a bag of crab in the fridge...after cleaning, it turned out to be about a pound and a half and another half pound of shrimp to boot. I threw it all in. This, of course, required an extra shot of worchestershire, another cup and a half of broth, and I added another couple shots of pepper sauce, a sprinkle of garlic, another bay leaf...just "upped" the important ingredients. At the end, I threw in a cup and a half of a milk/light cream/ half and half mixture. It was beautiful. It was ridiculously delicious. It was almost 12 cups. It was only 6 cups by the end of the night and we're only two skinny people. No fail. Most of this stuff is already in your kitchen.

This was pretty good, But I did change some things. I added 2Tbs of Sugar, half of the butter. Also next time I will try adding heavey cream... otherwise its a very good Bisque, Why I added sugar it kinda cut the acid and had more flavor, also instead of crab meat I used salad shrimp and scallops. I loved it this way and thats how my husband liked it.

I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars. This was delicious! Very easy to prepare. I used vegi broth, fresh crab, and a different pasta type. It was a bit too spicy for my kids, so I just added about 2 more cups of tomato juice, and it was perfect! It didn't dilute the flavor at all. This is a keeper!
