This is a quick and delicious marinade that my family really likes! I have made this several times and it's great to throw together in a few minutes before grilling. My only change was to cut back on the cayenne because of the kids.

Of course, ratings are from personal preference. Some would give this a 5 star. I made this exactly as per the recipe the first time, and found it lacking a bit in the "sweet" department and WAY too salty. The next time I made it, I upped the Honey and Orange Juice by a TBS, added a splash of cider vinegar, and cut out the salt. It was PERFECT! Thank you very much for this recipe!

These were awesome! I reduced the salt to 1 teaspoon and added a teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning. Everyone loved them, thanks so much for the recipe!

Not bad. A little too salty, but nice and spicy.

Notice that the recipe calls for coarse salt; if you use regular table salt it will be too salty. That being said, I still cut down on the salt even though I used coarse sea salt because we don't like things too salty. I used three cloves of garlic, ground chipotle pepper instead of cayenne, a Tablespoon of tomato paste from a tube, and a bit more olive oil and lemon to thin the tomato paste. I allowed the shrimp to marinate for about 30 minutes. Shrimp do not take long to cook on the grill and they are done as soon as they turn pink. Great recipe!

All in all it is a great recipe, but 1 tablespoon of salt is too much. I will make this again, only I will reduce the salt to 1/2 tablespoon next time.

This is truly a restaurant-quality dish! So good, and so easy. I soaked some bamboo skewers in water for about 20 minutes then threaded the shrimp onto them. This made grilling them a breeze. About 3 minutes per side and they were perfect. This is so delicious and will be part of my family's menu rotation. Thank you for posting!

I did not like this recipe at all! Very salty. All I tasted was hotness (which I love) and salt. But for me the salt was overpowering.

My family loves this. I alternate shrimp & scallops on skewers with this recipe. Quick easy and delicious! Each time I make this I am asked for the recipe. We have this at home at least once a week and I'm requested to bring to to all get togethers.

Outstanding! DEFINITELY decrease salt to about 1/2 tsp!! Used about 4 garlic cloves and marinated for about 3 hour (used very large shrimp/prawns). Perfect!

This shrimp ROCKED. It had the perfect blend of spice and heat. Although it had a little to much heat for the husband. If you like it hot & spicy well this shrimp is for you.

Great recipe, but I cut the salt to 1 tsp. and if it had been any saltier, it would not have been edible.

This was very good. I cut the salt and cayenne pepper in half. It still had enough bite for me. I also added a couple dashes of worshire sauce and 1 more clove of garlic. It was delicious!!
