Spicy Butter Cookies

"Spicy Butter Cookies are great with coffee or tea throughout the year. This cookie is easily shaped by rolling the dough into balls, then flattening with a fork before baking."

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • dash salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Nutmeg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

  1. Beat together butter, sugar, salt, egg, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in flour. Chill 60 minutes.
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on baking sheet. Flatten with fork.
  3. Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven 12 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
