INGREDIENTS
6 bacon strips, diced
1/3 cup chopped onion
5 fully cooked bratwurst links, cut into 1/2-inch slices
1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon diced jalapeno peppers
2 cups meatless spaghetti sauce
2 ounces Gouda cheese, shredded
Hot cooked rice

DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, cook bacon and onion over medium heat until bacon is almost crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain. In the same skillet, saute the bratwurst, mushrooms and jalapeno for 3-4 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Stir in spaghetti sauce and bacon mixture. Cover and cook for 4-6 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with cheese. Serve with rice.
FOOTNOTE
When cutting or seeding hot peppers, use rubber or plastic gloves to protect your hands. Avoid touching your face.

we enjoyed this meal. When using the jalepino's make sure you use what is on the recipe. If you go over just a little it will be too spicy

Great dish that will fill you up to the brim. I added a little more bacon, sauce, and mushrooms and it almost tasted like a pizza on rice.

This was great! I didn't have any mushrooms or jalepenos, but it was great anyway. Next time I'll add the mushrooms and some garlic, but I don't think I'll add the pepper. A great new way to use brats!
