I loved it. I brought it to a summer party and it was not really appreciated. Come to think of it-I did not have a lot in common with the rest of the guests. I will make it again and bring it to a differnt party.

This recipe is EXCELLENT. Let me say this: my friend made a full recipe exactly as written. Between he, I, and my husband, we ate virtually 90 percent of it that night! I came home and ate more at 11PM! You must let it sit overnight, but when it's done, be ready with some tortilla chips or Fritos Scoops. You are going to love this one.

I can't believe how tasty this salsa is! A definate favorite. Especially good when made with fresh tomatoes and grilled corn from the cobb and fat free italian dressing. YUM!

Fantastic! Made some minor adjustments: less onion, 1/2c Italian dressing, added some olive oil and balsamic, fresh tomatoes instead of canned, red bell instead of green, frozen corn instead of canned--okay, a lot of adjustments, but still I never would have thought of it without the original recipe and other cooks' comments. This will definitely be a staple recipe at our house, especially during the hot summer months!

Everyone raved about this when I served it at a party (I don't eat this kind of stuff, picky). I am going to make it again for a dinner tomorrow since it has become a requested dish. I followed the recipe exactly except I accidently bought canned tomatoes that had basil and oregano added, but everyone loved it. oh, I forgot, I only added half of the salad dressing becasue it looked like plenty. A real keeper!!

Absolutely amazing! I followed other's advice and didn't use the italian dressing (I used EVOO, lime juice and some spices to create a better marinade). Great recipe!

This stuff is absolute heaven. The only thing I changed was I added tons of chili powder, and a tiny bit of cilantro.

I will never buy salsa in the store again. OK, thats not entirely true, but for any event where I'm having people over and we need salsa - this is that salsa. I followed the recipe exactly and it was spectacular.

This is great! I only give it four stars because when I make it again, I will make a few changes. I suggest partially draining the black-eyed peas and using only a half a cup of the Italian dressing, unless you like a very wet salsa.

I took this to a party and it was gone before we left! Didn't have the black eyed peas so used red beans and I only added about 1/4 C italian dressing. Added the juice of a lime and some olive oil and fresh cilantro. People ate it as a salsa and some ate it as a salad. Great recipe!

Good Stuff!! I followed what others said and used lemon juice, olive oil, i used kosher salt and pepper. I didn't really measure these ingredients, I used the juice of one lemon and just eyeballed the amt of salt and pepper.Definitely needs to sit overnight for the true flavors to come out. I took some to work and next time, I will follow the advice of one of my Latino friends who advised me after tasting this (btw he loved it anyways) to exchange some of the canned stuff for fresh stuff....fresh tomatoes, fresh jalapenos, fresh corn (roasted corn), roasted green bell pepper.... This is a great dish to make that's quick and not expensive at all....When I decided to make this dish, all these canned goodies were on sale, and I only used the store brand, and for less than $10 you got an easy appetizer to serve a lot of people. definitely use the Tostitos scoops, easy to scoop up all those beans to get to your mouth!! thanks again!

This was easy to make and good, but lacking something? I added cumin (which I think it definitely needs) didn't have black eyed peas so I used pinto beans, corn and Cuban style black beans. Added the juice from the can of jalapeno's, fresh cilantro and a whole onion. It was spicy and I liked it, but my husband didn't seem too thrilled over it. I will have him do a taste test after it sits overnight. Otherwise it was simple and tasty!

Very yummy, took it to work and it was devoured! Everyone loved it and asked for recipe. I did use a can of white corn and half can of yellow corn. Cant wait to make again. Did use real garlic and would use another jalapeno next time.

Love it, love it, love it! Made it as others suggested. Used fresh garlic instead of powder. Added cilantro, lemon juice and used jared jalapenos with some of the juice from the jar. Used Good seasons italian dressing and dipped with Tostitos scoops. Make sure you let it sit overnight! I've made this many times and everyone loved it.
