This wassail was a nice balance of sweet and tangy. My alterations: I used a 100% juice blend for the cranberry juice and heated the wassail by simmering it all afternoon in the crockpot. It was well received by my guests, and I set a bottle of Jack Daniels out for spiking.

I've been making wassail this way for years. It's naturally sweet and I love it! I use a little bit of orange juice instead of orange slices.
