I did not care for this recipe. I love raw red cabbage, but have never cooked it before, so maybe just not my thing. I loved stewed green cabbage. I followed the recipe exactly.

This is possibly the BEST recipe i have EVER come across! Simply perfect - and i thought i hated cabbage... (It's true that high quality, fresh cloves really make it pop. Also i make this in my pressure cooker.)

Perfect! I found grinding my own cloves for this recipe is worth the effort. Be sure not to boil cabbage any longer than recipe directions or the cabbage texture is gross!

I have never written a review in all the years I have used this site. This recipe was EXCELLENT! Easy to prepare, tasted just like it said it would. Absolutely fantastic with turkey and with chicken. Simply fabulous. thank you SO much for this recipe!!!!

My husband and I both really enjoyed this recipe. We got red cabbage in our CSA box and had no idea what to do with it. This ended up being a great option! I made as written and used tarragon instead of red wine vinegar. We ended up adding sliced almonds to it at the end to give it some texture. Will make again if red cabbage ever appears in our box again. Thanks for the recipe.

This is really good. I didn't have apple so excluded it. Added only 1 tsp. sugar and added 1 tsp. carraway seeds. It was wonderful. Really like to cooking method of the brief par-boil.
