I used to use my aunt's recipie from the 1970's, but this one is equally tasty and far easier! My husbands coworkers request them every year.

This is a unique, excellent recipe for spiced nuts. They are much more "candy-like" than many recipes for spiced nuts. But I found that guests enjoyed them with drinks - especially champagne.

Okay, so this recipe is really easy, but I didn't like the spice mixture. It was way too pumpkin pie like for me. I think the flavor is overwhelming by itself, but they would probably be great in something like a salad or as a topping on a dessert. If I make it again I would probably try a "kettle-corn" approach and just do water, sugar, and salt. The glaze was nice, but I wasn't a fan of the flavor.

Wow...what a wonderful, easy, recipe...and with no butter, like some of the other spiced nut recipes I have seen. I just made a batch for a potluck tonight and I can't resist sneaking a taste whenever I walk by them. They crisped up nicely as they cooled. The spices are well balanced and not overwhelming...the only change I made was to substitute 1/8 tsp. cayenne, instead of the cloves. The cayenne gives it just a hint of hot spice at the end of the munch. I used mixed nuts without peanuts that I bought in bulk at my grocery store...that way I could fish out my favorite kinds, as I scooped them. It took .80lb to make 2 1/2 cups. I will add this to my list of Christmas gift goodies next year.

This was excellent. I love spices, however, when I was measuring the allspice a bit extra spilled into my sugar mixture...it was still great though. A friend of mine from Pennsylvania always sends me a tin of nuts every year for Christmas. This was the perfect way to add a little snap to them. I used a mixture of pecans, almonds, cashews, and hazelnuts. I like the almonds the best, but that's my favorite nut...next to my husband :-) Don't bother with the greased foil, just use parchment paper. Thank you!

What a great easy recipe with very tasty results. I made some for my family and another batch to give as a gift. One thing I did learn was that for the future, I would prefer to make several small batches rather than one large batch. I tried multiplying everything by four but found that stirring the nuts to keep them coated between microwave sessions was difficult with so much volume and when I finally turned it all out onto trays there was a lot of the sugar/spice left still runny in the bottom of the bowl. Thanks for a recipe which is now a favourite in this household.

Very easy and tasty recipe! Love that it's prepared in the microwave. I agree with the other reviewer that the coating is enough for 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups of nuts. It only took 4 minutes in my microwave - you'll see the coating start to bubble and thicken slightly. then it's time to spread them on the cookie sheet. Served them to my hubby's friends who came over to watch football - big hit!

These are great and really simple - no need to mess around with the oven like other spiced nut recipes. Coating is enough for at least 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 cups of nuts, not just 2. Next time I think I'll try adding a little more salt and some cayenne pepper for a sweet and savory mix, but as is these are great. Don't expect the syrupy mixture to really "harden" much. 4-5 minutes in the microwave is plenty, and the coating will harden later.

These are really good and easy. I cooked in microwave for 4 1/2 minutes and stirred after every minute. Left some of the nuts in clumps to dry. Tasted better the next morning when they were crunchy.
