Fantastic. I am not a clove girl so I omited that and I didn't have any ground mustard on hand. This was great, made the ham steak tast sweet and yummy!

It was full of flavor and reminded me of something my grandma used to make for Easter. We didn't have any ground cloves though so I used whole ones instead and it was still delicious!

I tweaked this recipe a little but I give it 5 stars because my whole family loved it, even the picky four-year-old! I did not have cloves, so I omitted that part. I used pineapple juice from a can of crushed pineapple and used a tiny bit of dijon mustard because I did not have ground mustard. I also used probably close to a tablespoon of brown sugar instead of 1/2 tsp. Everything else I kept the same in the recipe. I did not have time to marinate so poured mixture over ham and baked at 325 for 25 min. It was delicious. My husband wanted seconds but unfortunately there was none left!!!

This was excellent. Reminded me very much of Mother's baked ham we had for special occasions i.e. Christmas , Easter. And she spent hours baking and basting. Made it exactly according to recipe with the exception that I, like many others, could not find two inch thick ham steaks. Used the standard size found in the meat dept. Marinaded approx 24 hours. Many thanks, Kimberly, for a wonderful recipe and great memories.

Pretty good. Bf said "it's good for my parent's ham". When I asked him what that meant, he said his parents don't always have the best cuts of meat. They butcher their own pigs and foist meat off on us occasionally, so I guess that's bf's gripe. I liked it and I'm not a huge ham fan. I used oil instead of butter (I was just being lazy, that's all), and whole cloves instead of ground cloves (can't find the ground cloves--I could've sworn I had some!). I put in the marinade last night, so this morning I flipped the bag and we grilled for dinner. Thanks for the recipe!

I used pineapple juice from a can of pineapple rings. It was about 1 cup. I had the ham marinating with whole cloves (instead of ground cloves) stuck in the ham. I had it in the oven at 325 for 20 minutes. Half way through I put about 5 pineapples rings on top of the ham. Was great for the taste and presentation.
