I make these all the time for church functions and bake sales. The people I work with beg me to makes these for the holidays. This is a favorite with my family. This is a must make recipe.

I tried making these twice- They are not what I would call fudgy- they are dense with a spongy texture. The flavor is ok. I will not be making this recipe again.

I have been making these brownies for years. They are simple, delicious, and always a hit with everyone. I use PB chips sometimes, instead of chocolate, and always only use 4 eggs, and olive oil instead of vegetable oil. They are loaded with fat, but they are delicious.

this was a great recipe the only additions i made was to add 2 ounces of melted unsweetened choc. and i mixed the chocolate chips into the batter they turned out very fudgy and moist a big hit every where i took them. also my father in law is a coco-mint aholic and if you add a cup and a half of the andes baking bits instead of the regular chips they are a mint chocolate dream.

I gave this recipe 3 stars because while they were ok in flavor and easy to make, they didn't impress me at all. There was an obscene amount of fat in this recipe....yet they weren't that sweet or chocolately. Plus, with all the sugar, most of it rose to the top on the brownie while baking, so I have this hard crystalized layer on top. I probably would not make these again.

This is an awesome recipe. The only thing I did different was I added chocolate chips to the mixture along with adding them on top. Made them taste like double chocolate brownies. I made these for a co-worker's birthday and they were an absolute hit with everyone.

I made these over the holidays and cut them into bite size. I put them in a christmas tin and everyone enjoyed them. I used 4 eggs instead of five and add 1/4 cup water. More like a cake brownies. I add choco chips and walnuts. Sprinkled with powdered sugar. These bite size brownies were a hit especially if you don't want to eat a whole brownie.

Made this today substituting apple sauce for the oil. Not sure if this is what caused it, but the texture was somewhat rubbery to my taste. Won't be making these again.

Good, but I wouldn't recommend "dumping" all the ingredients in. Still a good idea to mix wet, then add dry.

These brownies are amazing, dense and fudgy with a delicious chocolate topping. I used 4 eggs (not five) to get a more fudgy texture. Also I took it out of the oven after 20 minutes, since it sets up nicely as it cools. This ensures a moist brownie. It will depend on your oven though. All in all a most delectable brownie! Thanks Diane

These brownies were very good, I only had 4 eggs so the brownies were a little fudgier than I typically like in the center but they were still great. I used whole wheat flour, 1/2 c applesauce and 1/2 cup oil and it worked out well. Thanks - quick, easy and taste great.

This recipe is a quick and easy way to impress people with the words, "I made this from scratch". It tastes great and you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen slaving away, just ten minits and the oven will do the rest.
