Made this for a trial-run Thanksgiving with a friend who wanted to try smoking turkeys before the big day. I could have just sat & ate corn, everything was great but there's some comfort food magic here.

This turned out so GOOD! I didn't transfer to the broiler or add parmesan cheese. I just kept it on the stove. Everyone loved it!

Very good recipe, the only thing is it's kind of soupy, I found the longer it sat out the thicker it got, Next time I think I'll pat the corn with paper towels to blot real well..

Great!! Adding the cheese on top is unnecessary, wonderful without it.

I changed it up a bit used all heavy whipping cream 1 pint and a 1 lb package of frozen mixed corn both white and yellow, cut the flour and butter to 3 tbs each and sugar to 3 tbs left the salt out. Everyone at the potluck that liked corn ate more than one serving of it. It's a good take of a resturant in california called Gullivers.

I followed the recipe as instructed, but the corn turned out really thick and really wasn't a hit with anyone who came to Christmas dinner (including three kids). I think plain corn with some butter and salt is better. This was a little heavy and too sweet. I wouldn't make again.

This has become a family favorite. My 12 year old son makes it for Thanksgiving, potlucks, and special occasions. It is his signature dish!

I will try this again, because maybe I did something wrong. However, it was too sweet. One of my two kids ate it, but he did not ask for seconds.
