Special Creamed Corn
SUBMITTED BY:
Deb Hauptmann
"WE rarely have the same main dish at Christmas each year, since I really enjoy trying new recipes. This corn, however, has a permanent place on our table. My whole family loves it, but my son, especially, would be so disappointed if I forgot to include this with our holiday meal. -Deb Hauptmann, Mohnton, Pennsylvania"

Made it today for our Christmas lunch. It was very good. I put finely minced sweet vidalia onion in it though. I also topped it with french fried onions since I didn't have any parmesean cheese. Family gobbled it up. I'll definitely use this recipe again.

I will try this again, because maybe I did something wrong. However, it was too sweet. One of my two kids ate it, but he did not ask for seconds.

I loved this recipe! It was quick and easy and tasted great. BUT my husband took one bite and did not like it, my kids (2 1/2 and 1 1/2) also did not like it which really surprised me but I think they are just going through a picky phase. I think that usually this would be a kid pleasing recipe. I probably would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that I was the only one who liked it. I added some crushed up cheese crackers when I reheated the left overs and they were great on top.
