These oranges involve no cooking, few ingredients and next to no work. Served by my great-grandmother at every Christmas gathering, these are one of the few traditions I take from my father's family.

The tangy dressing for this refreshing salad has the right sweet-tart balance to suit my taste--and others who try it agree! Orange sections are a pretty contrast to the greens, and the bacon adds a crisp accent. --Kathy Schrecengost Oswego, New York

I had oranges and apples in the house and couldn't find a recipe that used them both so I created this one. This is a great side-dish for a holiday gathering or would even be good as a dessert over French vanilla ice cream -- or even better if you cook this the night before and heat it up before serving. Enjoy!
