Spareribs Cantonese

"My aunt gave me this recipe more than 20 years ago. The thing we like most about it is that there isn't an overabundance of sauce, so the fabulous flavor of pork can shine through."

This was a huge hit for a dinner party. My only suggestion would be to turn the meat half way through the second baking time- as mine got a little too cooked/dry where it was not covered in sauce. My husband said, "PLEASE file this away in our favorites."

Not what I was expecting but amazingly good. Everyone loved them and it was easy to make. Followed recipe exactly except for the cooking time. I was using baby back ribs so I lowered the temp to 350 and cooked uncovered for 45 minutes and then basted them occasionally while they cooked another hour. Would definitely make this again when we want to get away from the traditional tasting ribs. Thanks submitter.
